Act Now to Keep Kids Safe

Dear friends,

Thank you for signing the letter to Congress to #KeepKidsSafe. By signing your name, you are joining an army of hundreds of leaders/survivors/advocates amplifying the message that children and adolescents deserve to be safe at home and online during COVID-19 and beyond.

Together, we’ve made great progress to bring attention to these issues to members of Congress and beyond (see here for progress to date). But we know there is more work to be done.

Since the Senate unveiled their COVID-19 relief package yesterday and negotiations are underway, we have a unique opportunity to try to get critical resources for child sexual abuse prevention and response written into the package.

We have a limited window to act: The time is now to redouble our efforts and make our voices heard. This week, please reach out to your representatives, particularly your Senators, and let them know that we must #KeepKidsSafe.

While COVID-19 has highlighted the serious risks for vulnerable children, we can — and must — act now to respond to this crisis.

Ask your friends and family to sign the letter, contact their Representatives, share on social media, and get trained to prevent child abuse. Together, we can create a safer world for every child.
